We popped along to this great event at the Mt Roskill Intermediate School Hall earlier today. Great to see so many of Mt Roskill's cultures represented with dance performances, martial arts, craft stalls, hair braiding, and lots of different food from different refugee communities like Afghani, Iraqi and Burmese.
Congratulations to
Refugees As Survivors NZ for organising a wonderful day, and for all their hard work with refugees in our community. We are keen to look at how Puketapapa Local Board can support their work in the future, and how we can encourage the communities they work with to have a voice in local government too.
