A Vision for Three Kings

This Saturday we will launch our Vision for Three Kings, an integrated policy platform about Three
Kings issues.

Three Kings faces a lot of change over the coming years, with the quarry re-development and Unitary Plan changes likely to alter the shape of the community we know today. Change isn't necessarily a bad thing (indeed it can be positive), but we need to ensure that there is a strong voice for the commuity through the process.

Our Vision for Three Kings picks up the themes and issues that we have heard from the community over the past three years. It details the approach that a Roskill Community Voice led Local Board will take on Three Kings issues such as restoring Big King, the quarry re-development, the Unitary Plan, and local heritage and character. In this respect, it is our way of providing real transparency to the local community before the elections.

At Saturday's launch we will also be announcing an exciting new campaign to Restore Big King. Big King/Te Tatua-a-Riukiuta has been sadly neglected over many years, and it is time to show some leadership. Our campaign will outline ways in which the community, the Board, and the new Maunga authority can work together to restore the mana of Big King.

We have limited space at the launch event, which is happening on Saturday 17 August from 4pm. If you would like to attend please email roskillcv@gmail.com to register, and we will confirm details with you. Please also email us if you would like copies of the Vision for Three Kings document. This will also be posted on this site after the launch.
